"Rou Gui Oolong, one of four main Wuyi teas grown in Wuyi Mountain, is renowned for its medicinal properties and is distinguished for its long-lasting floral undertones. It is named one word different from the most famous rock oolong tea, Da Hong Pao (Big Red Robe). Its elevation is not especially high, averaging only 650 meters above sea level. However, tea produced in Wuyi Mountain is considered superior, owing to the area’s pristine environment, rich volcanic rock soil, and biodiversity.

The tea has fresh nutty flavor with a sweet vegetal “Yu Xiang” touch in the back. Its taste and fragrance both have similar long-lasting floral undertones that yield a bold, honey-roasted taste. After a couple of brews, the tea shows its purity and clean tea taste with water lily like flowery aroma. The typical Wu Yi tea mineral feeling can be felt in the retro-olfaction along with the flowery flavor. The after taste is sweet with a clean nutty hint."
